We are already incorporated in the state of California as a religious corporation. The corporation’s activities include: Environmental education and mentorship.
Katteka Environmental Fellowship will provide environmental education and guidance to people in a manner befitting the Saint we are named after. The organization will offer outreach to educate and persuade people (the focus will be on small groups firstly) to start to participate or improve their recycling skills and aid in developing a mindset of individual stewardship for the environment. By doing so, KEF will work to improve the quantity and quality of recycling in small area by small area. Focus is to have a big impact within a small area.
Currently, we are planning on spreading awareness on trash disposal, as it is part of our process on gathering attention for future activities and following in the ways of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha. . Since we are a 501(c)(3) organization, all student volunteers may request service hours according to time spent participating in organization activities. These activities will be focused in Santa Clara and Danville.
In case any revenue is received from donations, it will be solely used in the organization related activities. No commercial items and activities are going to be organized.
