Although all countries should be considering how to reduce their carbon impact, oil-producing countries such as Saudi Arabia have received increased scrutiny for obvious reasons. In turn, Saudi Arabia and large oil company Aramco have been working to recycle carbon emissions in a variety of ways. For example, using a chemical process to turn CO2 emissions into "coatings for household appliances, packaging as well as consumer and industrial adhesives. The resulting products also have applications in the automotive and medical industries."

They have also been working on carbon-capture technology for cars, trucks, and oil production facilities.
